Digby Summerhill

Following the success of his father (John Summerhill), Digby Summerhill having grown up around designer furniture decided to join the business.

Despite not having studied design, but Hotel Management, Digby quickly took to the designer furniture industry. His different take from the traditional designers point of view has lead to an innovative and new take on the furniture retail concept, where service is prided as much as the quality of the products.

After having come to London and working at ‘Minotti London’ streamlining the administrative side of the business, Digby then set about working out the business plan for EDC London. He worked closely with Andrew and John to help realise their vision of a shop that broke the mold of traditional designer furniture retail outlets.  Moving away from set displays, 8-10 week lead times before delivery, his aim together with Andrew and John was to put the fun back into furniture.

Digby currently works at EDC London and runs the administrative side of the business while continuing to build his product knowledge.
